MyCorbu Enters Beta Testing This Week

MyCorbu entering Beta Testing this week is pretty big news, but it's not the Big News...

The Big News is that MyCorbu is now FREE.

You can read about WHY IT'S FREE in this recent post on the MyCorbu blog.

Being FREE is not only Big News, but also Good News. Help me get the word out by telling your colleagues in the design professions.

Here is where things stand. This week MyCorbu enters about a month or so of Beta Testing. At the end of that period, roughly March 1st, there will be a s l o w roll out. If you have reserved an account, I will be contacting you one at a time with Sign Up Instructions. I don't want to open the flood gates because it is just me here for support. Once it looks like there won't be an avalanche of support issues, then I will go completely live.

I think there is an excellent chance that if you start using MyCorbu then you will keep using it. I can't deny that I might be a tiny bit biased, but I have used a very expensive accounting system's timekeeping app. MyCorbu is better.

Here's a quick run-through of MyCorbu's benefits.

Question: Is there a trick to getting new Level 1 users access to the timesheet? Just trying out the free timekeeping module, which I like very much. But have added two users and both get an error message when trying to log in that they don't have access to 'this page'.
I like what you're doing, and would be happy to have something that works like this! Thanks!

Steve,
If you try to login from any page except http://www.mycorbu.com/app.html#log-on/, then you must have the correct user role. For instance when you sign out you actually remain on the last page you visited. To sign in on that page requires the correct user role. This would rarely be noticeable unless using a shared computer.

I tried both of them on different computers than the one I'm using; and I tried it using the url you gave in your reply. Haven't re-tried both, but mjbacon@bcd-llc.com gets this when trying to login: "mjbacon@bcd-llc.com doesn't have permission to access this page".
I think I want this user as a level 1, so they can just input time entries.
I also tried the url you supplied using another browser, but got the same result.
Any more suggestions? FYI, this is not time-critical. . . just trying it out, but would really like something we can each get to in our own way to record time in one central place. Thanks!

Steve,
I can't find a problem with your account setup, although I can't access passwords to try to log in with your credentials. Entering the wrong password would NOT give you this error message. So it seems like the app recognizes you, but doesn't recognize your user role.

I can only think of two causes: you are on the wrong login page or something is hinky with your browser caches.

Try two things. 1) While you have MyCorbu open, hold down the shift key while clicking the browser refresh icon (circular arrow usually); 2) log on as yourself, go to the Timesheet page, log out, then try to login from there with the mjbacon email and password.

On my end I will refresh the app. If none of this works, I will try to get Support on the case.

That worked! I was able to log in as both of the users I added. Thanks, I look forward to getting to know this better, and best of luck to you!
