FAQs

FAQs
What is the difference between Trello™ and Trello-PM?
Trello™ is a free tool for organizing and managing anything.
Trello-PM is my e-book in which I demonstrate how architects can improve their project management by using Trello™.
Trello-PM is modestly priced.
Is Trello-PM a subscription?
No.
What is PM-Steps?
PM-Steps is the name of a public Trello™ BOARD that I share. The PM-Steps BOARD is a Master Template of an architectural project. PM-Steps includes Tasks for all five standard phases of Basic Services (Schematic Design, etc.). PM-Steps includes nearly 700 Sub-tasks. PM-Steps is free to Architekwiki subscribers and to purchasers of the Trello-PM e-book.
How much does Trello cost?
Trello™ is free. Each person in your firm will sign up for a free account. Then you will create a TEAM AREA where you can share and manage all of your projects. The e-book, Trello-PM, shows you how. You can purchase the e-book here.
Trello has a Gold paid account. Is it needed?
No. "Trello Gold" allows increased file sizes, more 'Power Ups' and offers additional background colors. These are nice to have but not absolutely necessary. "Trello Business" paid accounts offer even more capabilities. Firms who embrace Trello(TM) might find the features useful.
How long will it take to get up and running with Trello-PM?
One month. Use PM-Steps to get set up quickly. Spend a month editing PM-Steps into your Master Template. Start using it in month two.
Isn't maintaining a PM system just as time consuming as the occasional rework that it is intended to eliminate?
No. A PM System and rework are apples and oranges when it comes to the type of time that they require. Rework time is lost forever. Maintaining your PM System pays dividends for the life of your firm.  See benefits here for having a good PM System.
Why use a TEAM AREA?
It is possible to avoid using a Team Area, but it is actually more work to NOT have a TEAM AREA. It simply facilitates sharing of all your projects.
Can you share a Trello account?
There isn't any advantage in sharing an account. Trello(TM) is free.
