I am announcing the resurrection of my timekeeping system, MyCorbu. For reasons that I will explain in future posts, MyCorbu proved unsustainable. But …
The Ochre System
I have found a way to remake the system. I am going to call the new system Ochre. Ochre will be a little simpler than MyCorbu, but all the main features will remain. This is the Concept Statement that I use to keep me focused.
The concept is to rebuild MyCorbu from scratch to make it simpler and fully stand-alone. The purpose of this version is to:
If you would like to get the emails describing the development process and the way the new timekeeping system will look and work, complete the form at the top of the page.
My goal is to introduce Ochre by year end. However, it is too early to predict if that is possible. It should be.
In the meantime, in these emails I will be showing my progress and addressing all the issues that I encounter. I hope you will follow along. By completing the form, you will be added to the group who will receive future emails about Ochre and its issues as it is built.
For instance - Why start over?
The answer is straightforward. Managing an app with subscribers is complicated, and MyCorbu was never going to have enough subscribers to support a staff to manage it. (More about that.) Ochre on the other hand will reside in the user’s own account, and any support or managing can come from multiple sources - if it is ever needed.
But the main issue today is “Are You Interested?” If so, complete the form above.
